Albert H. Scott
Executive Director & CEO
Albert Scott has served as the Executive Director for the Mental Health Association since 1985. For the past 23 years he has personally managed the growth and development of the organization.
Al has more than 30 years of experience in providing clinical and administrative services in the non profit sector.
Al received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and his Masters of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a licensed independent clinical social worker and is certified by the Academy of Certified Social Workers.
Maureen Tessier
Business Manager & CFO
As MHA’s Business Manager and CFO, Maureen oversees the financial operations of the organization as well as Human Resources, and Information Technology and Training.
Maureen joined MHA in 1986. She formerly was CFO for the Northeast Regional Exchange, an organization created by the Commissioners of Education for the 6 New England States and New York to provide educational and collaborative support to educators.
Maureen earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Daniel Webster College and she holds an Occupancy Specialist Certification for HUD funded programs through the National Center for Housing Management.
Brian Maxfield, LICSW
Clinical Director
Brian is the Clinical Director of the Community & Family Counseling Services, which is the outpatient program of the Mental Health Association. Brian is responsible for overseeing the day to day administrative and clinical operations of the clinic.
Brian has been in the Human Services field for the past 28 years; the last five being with the Mental Health Association. He has worked primarily in the fields of mental health and substance abuse.
Brian obtained a masters degree in social work from Salem State College, and is a licensed independent clinical social worker
Robin McClure
Director of Mental Retardation Residential Services
Ms. McClure is responsible for the oversight of MHA’s Mental Retardation Residential and Individual Support Services in the greater Lowell area.
Robin has worked for the MHA for 17 years; the last 9 years as Program Director. She has played a major role in developing MHA’s services for adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Lowell area during that time.
Robin attended the University of Lowell, majoring in psychology.
Deborah Turner
Director of Mental Health Residential Services
Ms. Turner is responsible for all day to day operations of MHA’s Mental Health Residential and Supported Housing Services in the greater Lowell area.
She has worked in MHA’s housing services for 27 years. As the Program Director she has organized the development and expansion of residential services to adults with a history of mental illness in a variety of settings and programs throughout the greater Lowell area.
Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College.
